While reading Star Magazine this weekend (market research), I came across the newly released print ad for EOS (the evolution of smooth) beauty products.  Thanks to quite a stellar team, a bit of experimentation, and lots and lots of lotion, the concept of creative director Johnnie Ingram was brought to life.  Special thanks to PictureHouse.

We spent a beautifully relaxed day alongside birds, butterflies and tide pools shooting the amazing Angela Lindvall in Malibu Lagoon State Beach last week.  Angela is more than just gorgeous – she’s so mellow and centered, and she gave me some fantastic life advice – yup I’m working on my life pie chart right now. And she’s practically convinced me to uproot my family to LA.  Reuniting with the talented Steven Arturo (seen here) was an unexpected bonus.

When my latest Dove real woman ad was recently released in the UK, it got some unexpected press.  News of Lady Astor posing for Dove caused quite a stir in the tabloids.  “Says her Old Etonian husband Lord Astor, 65, a former Life Guards officer: ‘I am very proud of her.’” More Dove real women to come…

I’m very happy about my first cover for Healthy Magazine — out on newsstands now!

Over the weekend, the multiple elaborate Quinceanera (Latin sweet fifteen) photo shoots happening right next to us on the Dumbo pier were mesmerizing.  I have to say that our own shoot paled a bit in comparison – see above our vain attempt to raise our game.

Regardless I was very happy to be reunited with two of my old friends, editor Caroline Baxter and model Amy Bracco – it was almost like being back at the Rockhouse Hotel in Jamaica…

Summer beauty images for Mary Kay.

How many shots does it take to get the perfect expression?  Must be related to the number of  licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop.  Regardless, we had a good time finding out on this shoot with the fun team from Deutsch.

Just back from London where I had a whirlwind time shooting a new campaign.   Daniel from Evidently was the director of the commercial and also my wonderful host.  He invited me to hang out his set, where I tried to absorb as much as possible, including his unique directing style (see above).
